Can a wind turbine on an electric vehicle help maintain battery charge?

Mitsubishi released a concept car that uses wind turbines.

Yes. But not while the vehicle is being used. While the car is moving at any reasonable speed more energy would be required to drive the car then returned to the battery.(drag).

While the car is parked beside a busy road(slipstreams) or in a breeze the turbine would charge the battery.

In my opinion things like solar panels and wind turbines are better permanently mounted in a good location feeding into the electricity grid. This way the maximum amount of energy can be extracted from the item. There is also less energy demand to carry the extra weight.

If the car is charged off peak from the grid,(generally when the grid is the “greenest”) the net result is far better in terms of pollution.

Obama supporters: What do you think about Obama’s “yea” vote on the 2005 Energy Bill – a.k.a. “Cheney” Bill?

downsouth: Yes, and although I’m not surprised, I resent the implication.
Speaking of implications…this has much more to do with Obama simply voting for it. CLEARLY. If YOU have read it, you would know this.

Oh no, now you are holding the libs accountable…….

They are not good at being held accountable to anything except stupidity.

You conservatives just have to be too smart and have the ability to read and write and research….and expose hypocrisy…….

Oh wait…..I am conservative and actually that is a great question you ask and good job! I cannot wait to read their answers and watch them do the Mexican hat dance around this one.
